Carol Ann is a Delaware native, spending family vacations in Rehoboth and Bethany Beach since the late 1960s. In 1993, she and her husband built a family home in Lewes, moving there full-time in 2017. It was then that Carol Ann took her 20 years of working with the family business, Pala Bros., with builders and private clients as an interior designer, to begin her real estate career. Her success has been quick: in just the last four years, Carol Ann has transacted nearly $18M in sales, making her one of OASIR’s top producers.
Before moving to the beach, Carol Ann and her husband, Peter McLean, headed to the University of Tennessee, where Carol Ann worked at Oak Ridge National Lab and assisted Peter in black bear trapping and research. While he pursued his Ph.D. in Ecology, she received her Masters in Information Science. Upon graduation, they returned to Delaware, to St. Andrew’s School in Middletown, DE, where Peter taught biology and environmental science for 30 years, and Carol Ann served as the Library and Archive Director for 16 years.
As a Sussex County resident, Carol Ann believes in sustainable development and works to preserve Delaware's remarkable coastal community. She has had a far- ranging career through which there has been one common thread: valuing the landscape while providing outstanding service by delivering pertinent and timely information to her clients. Carol Ann’s practice of Svaroopa yoga and daily meditation underlies every aspect of her life ("happy clients…happy heart"). Nothing excites Carol Ann more than working with clients who are ready to explore and realize a life dream of owning a home at the beach.
