Kathleen joined the Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty team in May 2010 as Strategic Marketing Director, following a career in marketing and sales which began with Ford Motor Company in 1996. After eight years in automotive marketing, culminating as a Brand Marketing Manager at the company’s Premier Automotive Group in Irvine, CA, Kathleen co-founded Maverick Marketing, providing consulting services to a myriad of real estate companies in the Mid-Atlantic. Upon the successful sale of Maverick Marketing, Kathleen joined Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty and has overseen $3 billion in real estate sales in the Coastal Delaware market, resulting in a 400% growth in sales at the brokerage. She is now the co-owner and Managing Partner, immersed in business development, strategic planning and client services for the brokerage as well as overseeing individual and team marketing plans for Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s realtors.
In addition to her role as Managing Partner, Kathleen has been directly involved in some of the most significant sales in the Coastal Delaware area over the past few years, including multiple oceanfront homes in North Rehoboth and North Bethany. She has also been a partner in the new construction design and build of several coastal properties in-town Rehoboth Beach. Realizing that every property listed for sale is an opportunity to showcase its unique attributes, Kathleen’s specialty lies in developing customized marketing plans, integrating all elements of staging, photography, video, renderings, and media to create holistic property campaigns.
Kathleen’s passion lands squarely on community involvement and engagement. She is a member of the Steering Committee of the Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice, Board Member of Clothing Our Kids, and a founding member of the Great Futures Fund benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Oak Orchard. Previously, she served on the board of the Children’s Beach House, co-chaired the 75th Anniversary of the Rehoboth Art League, and served on the 100th Anniversary Committee for Beebe Hospital and Medical Center. Community service is an integral component of operations and planning at Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty.
Her educational background includes graduating with degrees in Economics and European Studies from Western Michigan University as well as a diploma in European Studies from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium. She earned her Masters in Business Adminstration from Harvard Business School in 2002.
