Barbara grew up in Haddonfield, New Jersey, but has lived in Delaware since attending college here. She moved to Rehoboth Beach along with her husband, Scott, in 2007 to enjoy the coastal resort lifestyle after an early retirement from the corporate world.
A graduate of the University of Delaware with a BS in Medical Technology and Biology, Barbara spent her first career in research, technical, and management positions with the DuPont Company and Dade Behring, now Siemens. Her last post at Dade Behring was as Director of Manufacturing with responsibility for implementing best practices for quality and supply chain management, which included traveling around the country and throughout Europe. She has brought her strong analytical, organizational and communications skills to her second career in real estate.
Barbara lends a hand to local causes such as the Polar Bear Plunge, the largest annual event benefiting the Special Olympics of Delaware. She has served her community as a member and Chair of the Delaware State Public Integrity Commission and through active involvement with homeowners associations, including her current post as Chair of the Architectural Review Committee at Kings Creek Country Club.
Barbara believes that property selling or buying is a major life event. She feels that real estate transactions should be handled with responsiveness, professional expertise, and great attention to detail, which are the hallmarks of her success in real estate. Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty was an easy choice when deciding where to practice real estate. Sotheby’s upscale marketing, with its unique global recognition, combined with the teamwork environment of Ocean Atlantic, were exactly what Barbara was looking for to create successful outcomes for her clients.
