We had not entertained serious thoughts of a new home for over thirty years but sought out Paul Maltaghati when we started to think about a beach home in Lewes, DE. We remembered him from a conversation many years ago — first impressions are really important.
Paul listened as we yammered on about all the things we were looking for in a vacation home. He assembled a list of homes for us to tour with him. And we must say, any of them would have fit the bill. When we realized that we wanted to build, he helped us understand the process and went with us to get started. We now have a wonderful new home with literally everything we wanted.
Having Paul as our representative throughout this process gave us the confidence we knew what was coming next, what we reasonably should expect to pay for things, who we needed to retain, potential hazards in the whole process and build itself, and a person who was listening the whole time including even at the closing itself. This wasn't my first rodeo buying or selling my home ...but it was my BEST. Paul is everything you expect in a real estate agent and more. He doesn't show you a home....he prepares by casting a net wide enough to fit your needs. He has a keen sense of checking your boxes and making sure he is prepared to show you the house of your dreams. When we hired him to buy a property in Lewes he prepared 11 showings for us in one day. He knew we were coming from a great distance. One day and we bought our townhouse. 11 years later we hired him to sell our home. The same professional, honest and thorough service existed. 2 days and 17 showings later we were accepting an agreement of sale. He is the BEST.

I wanted to send a note to you regarding Paul, who helped my wife and I with the purchase of a home in the Peninsula earlier this year. Although I initially had my doubts of having Paul represent both sides of the deal, he was the sole reason this deal was completed. He provided wise counseling and advise to us throughout the process and helped shepherd a slightly rocky closing to a smooth settlement. Without a doubt, I would recommend Paul to others to handle their real estate sales and purchases in the area. I apologize for getting this note sent to you almost a month after our closing. We have been just running around taking care of things at the new home.
P.S.: On a related note, when our heating system stopped working the first weekend we were in the house (caused by icing of a line going out of the house), Paul was the first person on the scene to help us get the problem corrected. We hope to let him get back to his full time job of real estate sales but he answered the call in the time of an emergency.
