Hi everyone!  We are excited to start chronicling the build of this gorgeous coastal home that is truly only 20 steps to the beach in The Pines of Rehoboth!  We've spent months and endless hours designing the floor plan to ensure it maximizes every square inch of usable indoor and outdoor space in creating a 5 bedroom, 3 1/2 bathroom dream beach house.  Working with Element Design Group, a local architectural company that specializes in design with timeless aesthetic results, our team examined many possibilities on layout and structure for this home before we ever put a shovel into the ground.  We are proud to unveil the above preview of our final beach home plan which has just begun construction!

Stay tuned for frequent updates and photos as we move towards a summer 2015 completion for this home!  Contact Kathleen Schell to have further information on this home sent to you directly!

This home is currently listed for sale and is available to purchase.  At any time, please contact us for a complete list of finishes throughout the home and to discuss further details.

The basement on this beautiful new home has officially been dug and we are off and running on construction! Over the past few weeks, I have had extensive meetings with Don Newsom, Design Specialist from Cabinetry Unlimited, and Matty Adler, of Echelon Custom Homes, who have both provided invaluable insight into exquisite and sophisticated materials and finishes for this coastal beauty.  We have had so much fun poring over samples and coordinating floors, cabinets, tiles, and countertops…I can't wait to unveil these over the next few weeks!  In the meantime, I was happy to chat with the team who was digging the full basement for the home last Thursday and get a few photos.

After meeting with the construction crew, I walked to the end of the street and snapped a photo of the beach entrance…we are all waiting for the sunshine and warm temperatures that are right around the corner!

Even though the weather remained overcast this week here at the beach, construction continues unabated at 8 Oak in The Pines! We were onsite to see the framing go up and are thrilled to see this home taking shape. The exterior walls have 2"x 6" kiln dried studs every 16" throughout the frame, setting the framework for a very energy efficient final home. The gathering rooms on the first floor will all be light and airy, with 10 foot ceilings and ample windows allowing in natural light. Nine foot ceilings present throughout the second floor, with tray ceilings in all bedrooms, continue the spacious feel.

The vision of this home from the beginning was a to create a gracious, coastal escape, complete with many of the essential details one thinks of when envisioning a relaxing retreat. One of those integral architectural elements is our gambrel roof, which is just beginning to take shape. With its sloped sides rising to a graceful center point, we think this feature will be exquisite when completed! Tune in soon for more photos and information on interior finishes!

The beautiful Boothbay Blue HardiePlank siding is well under way and the interior is really starting to come to life! The drywall, doors, and windows have been hung while the blue stone for the front porch and back deck is now on-site and ready to be installed.  The build crew is busy working on the Kentucky ledgestone that will dress the foundation, adding to the classic styling of this exceptional beach cottage.
