After 25 years in the real estate business, 14 of which were spent in the Bethany Beach real estate market, Vickie York decided to open her own company. Vickie York established Vickie York at the Beach Realty in 2005. Their first office opened with 9 full time agents and was located at 518 Atlantic Avenue in Millville. After a few successful years, Vickie York at the Beach Realty decided to open a second location closer to the town of Bethany Beach. In August 2007, Vickie York opened the doors to another office located at 778 Garfield Parkway in Bethany. With 5 full time agents working out of the Garfield Parkway location, Vickie York at the Beach Realty expanded into the rental business and increased their presence in the Bethany Beach real estate market. Most important, the new office proved an easy and convenient location for clients.
Vickie York at the Beach Realty was a small company with a big impact on the Bethany Beach real estate market. For years, this small company produced impressive stats and results. The office did close to $40mm in sales from June 1, 2008 – June 1, 2009 alone. On July 22, 2009, Vickie York at the Beach Realty merged with another successful company, Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty. With a focus on the luxury homes market, Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty and Vickie York at the Beach Realty seemed to be the perfect fit. As of July, Ocean Atlantic Sotheby's International Realty took over the management of Vickie York at the Beach Realty. Vickie York continues to play a key role in the business but now has more time to follow her true passion, working with buyers and sellers to help make their dreams a reality.
